Exercises For Resistance Keep Bands

December 15, 2008

I have so many frequent flyer miles, I could own stock in American Airlines. I give them away as gifts whenever possible because I know I will never run out. It is a hard life at times, but I love every minute of it. Even when I am stationed at home, I am thinking about where I am going next and how soon I can get out to do it.

Most of my colleagues have subsequently put on a little weight over the years, because you just can’t find the time to exercise. It is really hard to eat healthy, so that plus lack of exercise equals fat. Sometimes the hotels don’t have gyms. Some hotels have questionable water in the pool and it is not wise to take a jog in an unfamiliar area. I’ve had friends go missing for weeks because they went for a quick run around the block.

But not me. I am a lean, mean resistance band machine. Actually, because of resistance bands I don’t need a machine and I am just as fit.

My sister got me started. She noticed that i was getting a little pudgy so she showed my some exercises for resistance bands. It only took a little and I was hooked. I went online to find more exercises for resistance bands and I hit the jackpot. There were so many. And not just exercises. There are different resistance bands also. You can get Medium resistance if you want to firm up but not bulk up. Or strong resistance for the body builders look. I have all three and they all fold up nicely in my luggage. There are also flat bands and bands with handles. I used to follow DVD’s to learn how to do the exercises properly, but I have most of the memorized now.

Types of Gallbladder Surgery

November 28, 2008

If you have a diseased or infected gallbladder, it may require surgery to treat the condition. Gallbladder disease is a serious and life threatening condition but you can live without the gallbladder so removal is often needed. So how is gallbladder removal done? There are two basic ways of removing the gallbladder that are commonly used today. Each will require general anesthesia if you undergo surgery. The more traditional method is through an open incision. With this technique, an incision is made in the abdomen and the organ is removed through the opening. This technique of removal will leave a scar and typically requires a longer recovery time.

The other type used today is laparoscopic surgery and it is becoming more common. It is preferred by people who need their gallbladder removed because the surgery is done through a small video tube that passes through the abdominal area through a very small incision. The surgeon can then perform the procedure by watching the video monitor. If you have gallbladder surgery, your recovery time will depend on the type you have. It also depends on you and your health, your tolerance to the surgery and how the procedure is performed. Some people experience few changes at all after their operation and others will need a period of recovery. Some people will have the same symptoms they had before their gallbladder was removed. This is referred to as “after gallbladder surgery syndrome” and will fade in time.

You can avoid all of this by taking good care of your gallbladder in the first place. One way to do this is eating the right foods. It’s important to eat fruits, vegetables and a variety of rice, grains and beans. The more fatty foods you eat, the more damage you could be doing to your gallbladder.

The doctor or therapist will help you set up special lights in your bedroom that simulate the sun rising earlier than normal during the darker months of the year. Increased lighting should also be used in the afflicted person’s workplace.
